The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the seven American uniformed services. Thousands of names, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses stored by the Internet job-search site have been stolen as part of a complex online fraud scheme.
First Premier Bank Agrees to Refund New York Consumers and End Fraudulent Practices New York, NY (AUG 15, 2007) - Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo today announced an agreement with First Premier Bank to resolve an investigation into the company’s illegal and deceptive marketing of subprime credit cards to thousands of consumers statewide with poor or no credit. Under the terms of the settlement, First Premier, based in South Dakota, will pay $4.5 million in refunds and $105,000 in penalties and costs. The company will also reform its illegal billing and deceptive marketing tactics.
8/2/2007:State Sales Tax Holidays
In 21 States, you get periodic "holidays" from paying State sales tax on certain purchases. Thirteen States offer these tax free shopping this coming weekend (August 3-5) on items needed for Back to School. This means no sales tax on clothes, computers, and school supplies. Other States offer State tax free days other times of year for energy efficient products, hurricane supplies, or all products.

CHESAPEAKE, VA - Attorney General Bob McDonnell filed a legal action against Financing Alternatives, Inc., a Chesapeake-based company, alleging it takes computer orders across the nation and then does not routinely deliver the computers.
